Hiya, Are you doing Unit 338. I did that one too and it gace me such a headache

That point is asking about your place of works policy on "whistle blowing" This means if you had concerns about a member of staff behaving badly or their interaction with a child.

You have the legal right to voice those concerns and as long as they are genuine concerns they should be investigated. You should also be protected that if those concerns turn out to be unfounded you wont be judged against. The policy should cover what you would do if they didn't take your concerns seriously. Or what if those concerns were about your manager. Who else could you report it to?? e.g your local Safeguarding Children department and Ofsted.

Whistle blowing is a way by which adults can voice their concerns made in good faith and without fear. Employers should have a clear and accessible written whistle blowing policy that meets the terms of The Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998. We must be aware of my individual responsibility to bring any matters of concern to the attention of a senior management member. This is vitally important if the welfare of a child is at risk. Ofsted have a whistle blowing hotline. Details of this are also on a website.
to provide provision that’s good for them. We need to do this so that the best care is given to the child and their families and the right provision provided
