Default Foundation Degree or Level 4?? Help!

Hi does anyone have any advice on the FD? I have applied for the course due to start in Sept 2010, but I am now having doubts. I keep hearing from others that there are huge amounts of work involved and no time for family etc. Some people have even advised against doing it.I have done my NVQ 3 and am now thinking that maybe I should really do level 4 instead, I am worried I may not be up to the demands of the Foundation Degree! Is there anyone out there who could give me an idea of how much time per week is spent doing coursework. Would really like to speak to other mature students who have taken the vocational route and hear of their experiences of it to help me make an informed decision! I am 35 married with 2 kids and work as deputy leader and SENCO of a Preschool. Many Thanks.
