Has anyone heard the SEF is coming out in an updated form in Nov?

well I'd heard this, but as it just came out in a new form at the end of September I thought they must have misunderstood

Rang Ofsted this afternoon and they said it would probably come out in the middle of Nov.
It's supposed to be a simplified, so let's see shall we?

Childminders have a new form.

It's out there but they haven't uploaded it onto the website yet - technical problems moving everyone's work over to the new format I believe.

It's certainly not shorter!

I recommend it you have a SEF uploaded, that you make sure you have a back up on your computer just in case.
