Default Finished but...

Hiya,
My assessor took my file away for internal and external verification back in July, and I wondered if anyone knows how long it takes to get it back? I'm not getting any joy from the course providers and I want all my work back, not to mention my certificate...(and I want to know that it was all okay so I can put my NVQ on my CV!)
Does it usually take ages to get everything back?

Managed to track down my assessor...and it hasn't even been IV'd yet as they have been on leave...and as there is a big backlog, and then the backlog has to go to the EV before being approved I'm basically looking at up to 5 months before I receive my certificate. (a full 7 months after I completed my NVQ)
Really down as it means I can't apply for any of the jobs I had in mind. I put everything into working on the NVQ (and completed in 4 months) and it seems a bit pointless at the moment.

Who did you do the course through, I have finished my about 3 weeks ago and I got my folder back last week, but still haven't recieved my certificate and waiting for that is doing my head in. I think it is really bad if they are making you wait this long, but try not to let it get you down babylily, I know it is hard as like you said it feels like it is pointless at the moment, but just think of it this way you know you did it and finished it in record timing and to complete a level 3 in that amount of time is just brilliant. It took my about 6 months to complete and found it hard. I knoow how you feel thought as I had this problem myself when I did another course a few years ago and they kepted messing me around and it took them nearly a year to give me my certificate. I ended up getting a phone number for people who were higher up in the company and putting major complaints in.

I am so sorry for what is happening to you and just hope that they get it all back to you in less time then what they have said.

Have some hugs from me.

hey try not to worry you can always put on your cv that its compleated and just put pending for the results, most people at the interviews look for experiance, likability and how good you are at working in the role, then they look at quolifications so just explain to them whats happened.

Hope this helps x

thanks for your kind replies... my assessor has been really good and written me a letter confirming that I have completed pending certification and said I can refer anyone to her. Still going to miss out on our local authority incentice payment as they have told me their budget will run out in the next month. It's a few hundred pounds...but I can do nothing about it so I'm trying not to think about it...
