Hi everyone

I am looking to start my foundation degree soon but havent got a clue how to write an essay. I have finished my level 4 but I know its totally different. Any info would be so helpful

Once you start your FD you should get lots of support writing your essays as part of your course. The key thing is to work out your referencing correctly - each uni will have it's own way, but they usually follow the Harvard Referencing' system.

I'd also recommend doing a 'master biblography' so you can cut n paste when you use the same books for different assignments.
Good luck doing your degree, and most importanly enjoy doing it.

if you go to the institute of education website the CAPLITS section they have produced a wonderful book about writing academically it only costs about £7 and worth its weight in gold.
