Default nvq assessor ?

Can anyone out there give me any info on how often you should be assessed.I have been doing nvq 3 ccld setting based since November and have seen my assessor about 3 times. She always wants us to work around her rather than the other way around is this the norm ??

many thanks
trixybelle

i have been doing it my nvq since december and have seen her twice.once to introduce herself and once to check my work.she cancelled last week and now can not come until june.it is a pain because the more she comes the faster we can complete the course. they seem to always be busy.mine told me she tries to come out once in six weeks.(i wish it was every 3 weeks)!

My assessor comes out to me every 2 weeks without fail, even if we are understaffed at the work place she still comes out and sits in back ad marks work or follows me to observe what I do.

my assessor is not that helpful....i feel like am taking her time when she is helping....it sometimes feels like as if i shouldnt be asking for help...comments such as "well you should know this by now" put my confidence down. i have been crying so much coz of this course...no help at all. luckily i found silkysteps...hope i find alot of support here. what do assessors get paid for? i have seen my assessor help the other girls alot bt not me....why?? is it because i have already done level 2 and she is expecting me to know everything? plus we're expected to write a page long answer for each KE!!! am sick of this... so fed up....u can email me stuff that can be of help...i am on 305 at the moment and i am doing 337, 308, 323 as an optionals....i havent chosen the last one yet.

I started my nvq in september and my assessor has been so often that there is no more observations to do, just written work (5 pieces left) and one pfd.
she is brilliant mind you.
