hello again...am stuck on this question:

the difficulties that may occur as a result of examining beliefs, values and feelings.

my mind has gone completely blank but i cant even think how we examine these factors in my nursery. or does this maybe mean things like having pre-judgemental ideas of different cultures and backgrounds that may cause segragation. am i even on the right track???? would be very grateful of any help!!!!

according to the ccld book k3p228: ' you may examine the way you work with children/adults and realise you are not handling situations well. in the long term this has potential to improve your practice but in the short term can undermine your confidence. focus the future on lessons learnt and take time to talk to collegues, mentors or tutors about your feelings'. in some cases what you think might be right because of your beliefs/values may not be right for the setting.
hope this makes sense

allthough i have not handed this in yet so not sure if it is enough, here is wot i put

when using reflection about yourself or your setting, this may bring up conclusions about yourself and the way in which you work whick you may find uncomfortable and this may undermine your confidence with the children or your self esteem about the way you apply your work, although if you are looking at this for changing the setting or practice in the long term this can be useful to the setting and yourself to look back and see the effects of the changes but in the short term it may effect your work and confidence. it is important to focus on the future after learning lessons from the past. it may be useful to have a colleague or tutor to give you advice and talk about the way you feel.

i hope this is ok x
