Biggrin Jewellery Valuations

After getting ripped off a few years ago by a jeweller who wanted 10% of the value of a ring I wanted valuing (which could run into hundreds of pounds for some people!), I discovered another way of getting an estimated price. I had bent my engagement ring (probably on the frying pan handle as it hit DH's head! :rotfl: Joking! Lol) and took it into a high street jewellers where they proceeded to value it for their insurance purposes! They also do this if you want an item cleaning! Unfortunately they don't write it down so you can't use it for named insurance items, but if it was worth over the specified single item amount, you wouldn't mind paying for a written report! I hope that makes sense!
