This would mean ensuring when employing new staff ensure that you follow up on references at least two, one being from their last employer, all staff /volunteers must have an fully enhanced C.R.B. police check,
Care Standards Act 2000
Disability Discrimination Act 1995
Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001
The Human Right’s Act 1998
Race Relations Act 1976

relevant qualification or willing to work towards, a few years of experience working with children
Ensure you are aware and have some knowledge of the following Acts
You have relevant policies and procedures in place, and that all staff/volunteer/students sign to say they have read and understand them, ( the most important are Confidentiality, Child Protection, equality and diversity, equal opportunities)
Children Act 1989
*** Discrimination Act 1986

this should help
