I spent ages on this question, and ended up starting all over again! In the end, I broke the question down into different areas, exactly as the question is worded, and researching the internet and my textbooks from Level 3 using these as headings. Once you get started, you will find that there is loads of information. Refer to as many theorists as you can, and concentrate on those you are aware of, and those whose research you like. (This sounds like really basic advice - sorry - but it worked for me!). I came across a theorist called Susan Sutherland Isaacs, and wrote a fair bit about her. Other names to consider are Bowlby, Montessori, Kolb, Piaget, Athey and Vygotsky.
