Crossfingers how do procedures help to protect team members from allegations and complaints?

Explain how following procedures helps protect team members from allegations and complaints as well as protecting children and young people from harm and abuse.

Hi, welcome to the site. There is some information on page 82 of this EYE handbook , search inside the amazon preview for 'allegation' .

Page 120+ of the CYPW is also good reading. Search the preview for 'policies and procedures to protect' and click the link to page 118.

Policies and procedures are built on law, national guidelines, recommendations and best practices which help to protect team members by laying out what is expected of them eg. how to interact with others, what to do and how to react and behave, the role and responsibilities of individuals so everyone knows who has responsibility for different situations which enables you to report information to the appropriate person.

The revised Guidance for safer working practice for adults who work with children and young people and Keeping Children Safe

Hth, best wishes xx
