Unit 163...Help please

I have just started my additional units, but don't know how to start answering the question, or where to look, or what information to provide.

It says:
Analyse how research has impacted on:
provision for children communication language and literacy development

workplace procedures and practice

own professional practice


What research should I be looking at? I am in Wales, so was thinking foundation phase, or am I completely going the wrong way with this?
