Hi from me and guidance on K4D807 please

Hi everyone
I started my NVQ4 in January and am really enjoying it.
It's lovely to find a forum like this where I can meet others on the same level as me.
I don't need help on this...just guidance please..

Complete a knowledge booklet showing the various development patterns including Birth - 3, 3-7, 7-12, 12-16
You need to put in all aspects of development.
Well, how do I condense this so it isn't a 60page booklet?
eg. Birth to 3, well they develop each month so how do I condense that into birth to 3 years.?
I am probably missing the obvious here, but any pointers will be most appreciated.

i totally understand where you are coming from!! Just seems like so much work can't really see how it can be condensed without missing out vital information!! Not loving 403 lol

we did this in class disscusion and used a grid form we only highlighted major mile stones e.g roll over, sit, crawl, walk,seperation, - startschool, ride bike etc hard work but i'm sure you'll do it :) i'm nearly finished just got the theorist assign and some bits to finish cant wait !!!

Ive just completed this hefty piece of work! We had to do the development chart and also link it in with relevent theorists too! I did however manage to cross reference it with a couple more KE points, but for such a big piece of writing it didn't really cover much and i can't see how you could cover this in class as you have to link in and write about different theoretical perspectives for the different ages etc? :(

I have my first piece of work to complete and I was just wondering if 1 printed page for gross motor skills for a 0-3 year old will be enough?? Ive done it in a chart. Not sure what they are expecting?? I also have to link this with theorists but cant find any when it comes to gross motor skills. Any help would be great! xx

Hi, I spent around 4 weeks to finish all the developmental charts and so glad its over. I done around 15 pages in total! However im really stuck on linking theorists with regards to physical development. I have put one so far and thats Gessell. Any help would be great.xx

How about breaking it up and doing the same headings for each age group?

and look at what you consider the three/four? main things to be.

You could start or summarise by saying here are a few examples of development of the (above) ages (below) that I researched.
Anything your assessor doesn't see and wants to, she may just ask a question.

If you show her say 3 or 4 areas - emotional, physical, cognitive etc you would have continuity in your research, probably a better read - not so jammed packed and it wouldn't go on for ever - just a thought.
