Hello, I'm in Scotland , and used this to start off..

‘Protecting children – A shared responsibility’ is Scottish Government document, which gives guidance to education authorities, schools and teachers regarding protecting children from abuse.Professionals need to work together in child protection to share information; support families, improve parenting, and provide information and services about health and education to families.In Glasgow, the purpose of the Child Protection Committee is to ensure local agencies work together to protect children. Smudge do you list any organisations/individuals/publications you keep upto date with or that you rely on to keep you up to date?

It looks like this is asking for you to remember or to know an occasion where you can say 'Yes, we do that as well .. knowing the reasons why you do it maybe - supporting policy & procedure.

Documents, papers, research, news articles all have the potential to influence & support policy and procedure, the depth of which may vary but could all be incredibly useful. The term Childrens health, Safety and Well being returns some good results in itself if it helps prompt practice.

Parents as Partners google search not as easy to find information, but rewarding in that you can come across other highly relevant leads, with time on your side.
Other forums, industry specific/social networking places where information shared leads on to you recognising something relevant to your own setting/position - information that in turn leads on to you identifying a creditable source and resource which may then change/support policy and procedure.

I miss the ECM, Surestart & Early Support sites, pages & resources, using them daily until they were sucked back in by the dcsf lol .. maybe that should be website absorbtion, redirection and an impersonal integration, ahh well, a quick in my opinion only moment

Between the two of you I have enough pointers to write a book. You've both pointed me in the right direction & jogged the memory over things I should already know.
