Default Unit 418 (The Ofsted one!!)

Hi everyone

I am having a bit of difficulty on two of the knowledge questions and wondered if anyone could explain how they interpreted them:

K4P1040 - The detailed requirements for both registration and inspection, the implications of regulatory requirements for the setting, its staff, the children and families involved.

K4M1041 - The detailed information required by regulatory authorities.
(Could this last one include the operational plan and its contents?)

Maybe its too early or i'm being a bit dense today, i have managed to answer the rest of the unit since 7am but am really struggling on these

Any help would be very appreciated

search online for the requirements to register with ofsted and talk about them. and then id talk about the rules-requirements for the setting and say how they ae followed-i.e what is done to meet the requirements e.g the setting is required to have appropriate fire procedure and fire exits to meet this requirement we have a policy of what to do in the event of a fire.

then write the rules for the staff etc id talk about leglislation, standards an requirements of ofsted etc e.g. ratos and then again just talk bout how to ensure the rules and regulations are met. id use google to help

the next bit is saying give info on things you have to do and which law/who says it.

hope this helps

All the information is in the Stautory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (DfES) you should be able to view it on the OFSTED website. Very good book is Advanced Early Years Care & Education level 4 & 5

Thanks everyone for your help

I'm not exactly sure about how i am going to answer the questions as i have already put a lot of what has been suggested as answers to other questions in the unit

This unit is quite repetitive

Yes I agree, rather than answer the Knowledge and Understanding as questions Ive wrote a long piece and then cross referenced them all into it
