The junior school has had to postpone their sportsday 3 times now, 2 because of OFSTED and then the one due yesturday was postponed because it was suppose to start at 1pm and the school took the sensible action of postponing it until thursday 9am when hopefully the weather will be cooler. It normally lasts for 1.5 hours but if it gets too hot they will just do the sprint races, the fastest children in the school, rather than the whole thing. Only problem is if it rains it won't be rescheduled as we have run out of time.
Just been to the year 6 leavers swimmimg gala though in the outdoor pool. Brilliantly organised, everyone had fun and after an hour of competitive swimming all the kids had 20mins free swim to cool down.
Does anyone else get emotional at sportsday, swimming galas, summer concerts etc? not sure if its because my eldest is moving to senior school and my youngest moving upto the juniors, and my middle child moving to yr 6, but I seem to be getting very tearful watching all the end of year activities this year.:weepy:
