All I can think of is getting staff to complete CLL assessment tool, to identify what we do well and dont do well. Any other suggestions?

I am sure you are all constantly reflecting - sometimes it will be oral to start with. You may be at an activity and you notice that younger and less able children are not accessing a certain paint activity, but by always providing paintbrushes (of varying lengths) children have more choice and likely to visit the activity and possibly try out something different you are offering i.e. blowing paint through straws.
By observing and sharing these obervations with colleagues it helps you all to reflect and adapt, change practice. If your setting has in the past only catered for children from three years of age, but is now taking younger children of two years of age, from observations you may well have noticed that some of the toys and equipment are not suitable - home corner cooker is too high or the tables they sit at are too high for them - from observations such as this your setting will adapt, change or provide what is needed.
By involving parents you may reflect upon practice and change something i.e. a parent may have mentioned that someone is walking their dog to the setting and tying it up at the entrance door, they are concerned about safety. What would your setting do ? You may well check you policies , if it is not covered you reflect and possibly draw up a policy.
I expect you and your colleagues observe, consult and share, chat, hold or attend meetings - staff/committee/forums, courses, training etc to ensure you are reflecting on your practice and acting upon any findings.
If you are thinking about everything you do in your practice, you should be reflecting whether it can be better or safer etc and if it's something that needs immediate attention, speak up.
