Help needed...please.

Ok, I'm on my last 2 knowledge questions then i'm done! Think I'm going a lil bit brain dead though so i'm hoping some of you can help me out.

On Unit 402
K4H788 Principle models and practices involved in formal risk assessment affecting the children's health and safety, safeguarding and protection taking into account the age, needs and abilities of the child

K4H791 Strategies to ensure accurate health information and requirement from parents and families is used to inform the care, learning and development of their children eg information on food allergies , allergic reactions, chronic illness and use of medications

I'm sure the 2nd one is aimed at the information received by parents before their child starts the setting. But i've been working on this for ages trying to finish off, and have now reached the stage that it appears to be in a different language!!!

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Minx

For K4H788, i wrote all about the 5 steps to risk assessment from the HSE website, and talked about how i fulfill each step in my setting.
I wrote about all of the potential hazards within my setting such as electrical sockets and cables, wet floors etc.
Then to finish off i wrote about how i had implemented a daily risk assessment in each area of my setting which team leaders complete every morning.

For K4H791, i wrote about the info recieved from parents before a child starts and what forms are used,as you suggested, and talked about how i ensure each member of staff is aware of individual dietary needs. I also talked about our medication and administration policy and the relevant forms used.

Hope that helps!
