General question CYP 3.7 (unit 030) outcome 2.2 Case studies

I have three case studies and I need to answer 2 questions related to them all. Tried to look for an answer in a book, but it is a little bit confusing... as I cannot find in the supposed unit CYP 3.7.. Pointing me on a right way would be awesome.. I know it somewhere in a book..

First situation is:
Case study A:
Stavros is four and has cerebral palsy, which results in him having difficulty in controlling his movements.
He stays at home with his mother and does not attend a nursery. His mother is a single parent and overprotective, not allowing others to look after him. However, she is displaying signs of stress and tiredness and the health visitor is concerned about her. She wants to provide support for Stavros and his mother but needs to do so in a way that is acceptable and appropriate to the situation.

questions:
All three children in the case studies above have different needs.

Describe their needs and the services that would be appropriate for each of them.

Source the services and record what they could offer to each person.

Do I understand right that where is talking about needs in the first question, it would be need of social interaction and physiotherapy and services would be 'physiotherapist'? And the second question about source the service is the same physiotherapist - who can help child with coordination and his movement resulting from medical condition.

Second case study B:
Harry started to take drugs at the age of 14. He has been in and out of rehabilitation clinics for the past two years and has finally decided to make a fresh start. He wants to continue his education as he did not sit his GCSEs and to regain the trust of his peers, teachers and family. He is going to need support and help if he is to be successful in his resolve and new ambitions.

How to answer the same questions to this case study?
Describe their needs and the services that would be appropriate for each of them.

Source the services and record what they could offer to each person.

Thanks for any help!

yes

An early years children's centre is a service that provides opportunities for social interaction and may also have the contacts necessary to secure the services of a physiotherapist and to work in partnership with Stavros's mum and her health visitor in meeting more learning and developmental needs - have a look to see where all your nearest centers are

Sourcing means to look in your locality - what service could be found in reality for a child and their family experiencing this situation.

For Harry he'll need the assistance of his social worker, a secondary school's pastoral (or similar) department, their educational psychologist who will all collectively help provide an assessment of his learning needs so that together, he can plan out what needs to happen to complete the process of achieving his GCSEs.

You won't find the case studies in the CYP3.7 unit as each course provider develops & sources their own materials to help students understand the learning involved. You'll find the research to support you in the handbook eg. page 192 looks at designing services around the child which is what your case studies help you to do and page 75 explains the role/services that external and internal professionals and specialists can offer.

TAC - Team around the child and research for an integrated approach

Where used the CAF documentation supports a single framework of assessment for identifying children's needs.
