hi Kirsty
you need to be writing about your own confidentiality policies. I then added this bit about the data protection act-

According to the Data Protection Act individuals have the right to know about any information which is held about them it also ensures that personal information is handled properly. There are 8 principles of the Data Protection Act and these are to make sure personal information is-
• Fairly and lawfully processed
• Processed for limited purposes
• Adequate, relevant and not excessive
• Accurate and up to date
• Not kept for longer than is necessary
• Processed in line with your rights
• Secure
• Not transferred to other countries with out adequate protection

You need to talk about the eyfs welfare requirements too and then how your setting covers confidentiality and the disclosure of information

Hope this helps

Thankyou so much for that thats a big help.

Any suggestions on how start these off: Legislation covering children's rights and laws covering equality and inclusion within your home country, how these are interpreted and implemented in your local area and within your setting?

work with children in the context of the UN convention on the rights of the child eg the rights to play, cultural identity, freedom from exploitation.

health and safety act and all the supporting legislation

child protection legislation

maual handling regulations

legislation covering early education

i hav loads of info on each thing i just don't know how 2 start them off

Thanks Kirsty

Hi Kirsty

for 775
i had 5 different headings and wrote about each they were-
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child
Every Child Matters
Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000
Special Education Needs and Disability Act 2001 (SENDA)
Disability Discrimination Act (1995)

for 776
I wrote about
my settings health and safety policy
The Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
“Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995

for 779
I wrote about my settings policies
EYFS Statutory Framework and the welfare requirements
“2.2 CHILDREN ACT 2004

I'm still working on 778, 780, 781 and 1120

hope this helps
