Different influences that affect children's development are formed partly by what they are born with and what they experience as they grow. The child' gender whether male or female is both influenced with what the children are born with and experience

Think about:-

- different backgrounds i.e from a different cultural for example Muslim or Indian. Consider the families beliefs for example they might not eat certain foods. Give examples.

- different financial background i.e some families may be well off and not have to worry about money.

- disability/ sensory impairment / other special neesd. Deaf children will be more observant and have attention to detail - you may have to learn sign language and will have to consider each activity and how best to meet the child's needs. Give examples of possible special needs and how to you would make sure these children are included.

finances, living in poverty means less access to good medical care.

education of parents, those with low ed achievement have more difficulty accessing health care
ditto literacy and language.

poverty effects the quality of food, housing, heating resources etc all of which affect health.

the physical and mental health of the parents. those who are fit and well will be able to support their children in a more positive way, those who are ill, drink, use drugs etc will be less likely to. a sick sibling can mean a child parents have less time to spend in them so their mental health may suffer.

genetic illnesses and conditions.
etc etc
