What strategies have you used to encourage and support children to understand and respect other people’s feelings and points of view?

We use puppets quite a bit, they are friendly and playing then one maybe hurts the other puppet, or we make a situation happen and then ask the children how does the sad puppet feel, and why its nice to be kind to people.

At circle time we encourage that all children are listened to and respected. we pass around a beanbag and the child with the beanbag talks..
