Default sequence and rate of development - communication and physical development

for ages 7-9 years communication, 9-11 years physical, 9-11 years communication 12-14 yrs communication 14-19 years communication.

Can anyone please help with this I have wrote bits out and just had it back saying need more information on it. Now I am stuggling as diddn't think there was much compared to the youngers years

cyp core 3.1 outcome 1.1 sequence and rate of each aspect of child development from birth to 19 years. We was told to set it up in spices areas and different age groups and write their development what they should be able to do in thier.

I am just stuck ion those ones. It just seems to be me that my tutor is saying do more on etc even though others have only done about a shet on each and I have done at least 4/5 sheets on each. Excpet these later ones which I am struggling with

1.1 Developmental aspects including:

Physical
Communication
intellectual / cognitive
Social, emotional and behavioural
Moral

Hi Sarah

i only did a page and a half on each one but this is what for communication from age 4 you said you were akay until age 7:


4 – 7 Years.
Clear fluent speech.
Children begin to ask questions.
Children enjoy speaking to adults/peers.
Children begin to recognise letters.
Children can write own name.
Children can sing several songs.
They begin to read with more confidence understand concept of a word.

7 – 11 Years.
They begin to tell jokes (often using gestures while communicating).
Verbal arguments.
They understand more complex rules.
They will talk confidently with peers and adults.
They will use grammar correctly
They can follow written and verbal instructions
They make writing imaginative and interesting


11 – 13 Years.
Enjoys writing stories to show their imagination.
Persuading/negotiating between adults/peers/ friends.
They can carry out tasks without adults.
They are able to solve problems.
They can communicate confidently.


13 – 19 Years.
They understand what society expects of them/you.
They use computers and phones to communicate with friends
Uses telephones or mobiles to communicate.
They can select appropriate and effect vocabulary
They are writing neater and joined up
They listen effectively to others
They are able to vote for the first time

and this is what i wrote for physical:


4 – 7 Years.
Children can kick, throw a ball.
Children can hop, skip or jump. (develop a good sense of balance)
Children will become more aware of structuring bricks by building things.
Children will be using their fine motor skills in great detail e.g. threading, puzzles, scissors, drawing (a person)
match and name primary colours
They have good coordination, playing ball games and dancing (5 yrs)
They can hop 2-3m forward on each foot
They can use knife and fork competently
They have good control over pencil and paint brushes, can do jigsaw puzzles.
They can hop easily, with good balance (6 yrs)
They can ride two wheeled bike
Children can write a number or letters of similar size
Children can write their first and last name
Children are able to control their speed when running (7 yrs)
They have increased stamina shown in swimming, skating, gymnastic
They are more competent in writing, use colours in a naturalistic way.

7 – 11 Years.
They begin to draw simple pictures
They begin to write more and the writing is more recognisable.
Fine and gross motor skills become quicker and more accurate e.g. scissor control more accurate cutting.
They have increased strength and co-ordination and a quicker reaction time
They enjoys participating in competitive sports
They have more control over small muscles, draw people with details, beginning to join letters together in handwriting
Their body proportion are becoming similar to those of adults.
They begin to tackle more detailed tasks, have an established writing style.
Have body proportion that are becoming similar to those of adults (10-11 years)
They tackle more detailed tasks, have an established writing style

11 – 13 Years.
Changes occur to a girl’s body (growth, puberty etc.)
They have more control with their coordination and speed when carrying out all types of physical activities. (Fine and gross motor skills).
They become team players e.g. football netball, rounder’s etc.
They have good coordination, fast reactions

13 – 19 Years.
Their brain carries on developing.
Growth and changes rapidly occurs to a boy’s body (process of puberty).
Occasionally poor spatial awareness, due to body shapes changing dramatically.

Not sure if it helps or not but had it signed off, i only work with 2-5 year olds and had a lot for their ages but unfortunately struggled with the older children
