how often are schools inspected?

in my placement the teacher said that our primary school is inspected every 7 years.....

i cant find any info on this.can any1 help me please? i live in northern ireland.

i dont know if its different in N.I but our school is inspected by Ofsted every 3 yrs

yea,everywhere i read it says 2-3years.ive just went over our last inspection report and it was back in 1996..........

have you tried looking for your last report on the ofsted website or is that what you have done already?
