Unit 402 K4H788: Principal models and practices involved in formal Risk assessment

I know this question was asked a long time ago now, but I'm trying to work on this now, and the answers here haven't helped so far (sorry!):blush:

What did you put - this is what I have so far "The principal models of a risk assessment involves the probability of the risk and the severity. Each one has it’s own grading to then provide a risk “score”.
The following are factors to consider
Toys, equipment, personal hygiene, nutrition, privacy, how to adapt things for those with disabilities, children's awareness of safety, ratios
Then I was thinking about talking about National standards and children come first. Also a bit about the things you can do to eliminate risks, permission forms, pre existing injury forms etc.

Am I on the right track - or have I lost the plot completely?

i just wrote a few lines on this one (that makes a change for me)
I wrote about how we do our risk assessments, how they reflect changes in activities from week to week, procedures to follow if a health and safety risk is identified, how the risk assessments take into account childrens age and stage of development, how they list the controls and steps necessary to protect children from harm, and how we do risk assessments weekly and termly.

That was great thanks. Managed to end up doing 4 pages (albeit some is some info on safety requirements cut and pasted off the net.)

I wasn't enjoying this unit at first, but really enjoying the meatiness of 402 now!!!!!

Only the theorist unit left to do of the mandatory ones after this - NOT looking forward to that one bit!!!!!!!

I take it you mean unit 403 i found that the worst one and wrote reams, i did the theorist bits twice before i got my head round it.
