Plants in your room ?

Anyone got anything slightly unusual growing in their room?

Wasn't really thinking of gross stuff, more like Venus fly traps, Bulbs in see through vases etc

Hi,

I've got a venus fly trap plant. Whenever anyone come's to my house (even my inspector) and see's it they put their finger in it and are shocked that it closes!!!!!!!

I love it, got it from B&Q and really easy to look after.

excellent .. is it true that the leaf dies after closing on something .. I've never had one of these, tend to spend most of my time trying to keep 'easy everyday plants alive

Default Venus

No they don't die, they open again atfer about an hour.

They are really easy to look after, they like to be kept in 1cm of water by placing it in another larger pot.

I'm on the look out for another weird plant, heard about any more??

Oh yeah forgot Cactus are really easy too, you can leave them a couple of weeks and their ok.

You can also buy airplants(they are planted in pebbles) and their ok for a month without water.

Let me know how you get on.

I had a sensitive plant (mimosa pudica) when I was younger - when you touch the leaves they fold into the stem!
