SOS theoretical perspectives

hi,
I am drawing a blank and need some advice on some of the theoretical perspectives. I need to write about how they influence early years settings.
I have gone through about 20 different ones now, but am stuck on the following:
speech and language- constructivist perspective, sociological perspective.

I dont even know what these are really asking as all the other have a theorists name and I can research their work.

PSED- cooley ' looking glass self' and bandura self efficacy. ( i know the theories inside out but not sure how they impact practice)

Any advice would be great, I feel like ive been doing this for hours now!

thanks
