Default Help with case reviews

can someone help me pls,i don't know how to start it

gain an understanding of serious case reviews. Through independent research, I would like you to choose 2 case reviews and examine how they have influenced current policy, legislation and practices.

Hi, the link to youtube shows the devastating details surrounding Daniel Pelka and looks at his unnecessarily short life and the services that were involved with him.

The serious case review for Daniel is on this page of the NSPCC website https://library.nspcc.org.uk/Heritag...941.1526295038

and on page72+ of the review under Lessons Learned you'll see how service providers are, as a result of the SCR, required to check and change their practices, policies and procedure, for example how they react & respond to the information parents give them, the indicators that may well mean abuse such as neglect is occurring so that children can be safeguarded as early as possible and those interventions protect them from any further harm.

The other link is to Millie Thompson's case where the work of her parents has meant that as of September 2016 newly qualified childcare practitioners must also be trained in Paediatric First Aid.

Are these the two cases your tutor expects you to research? If not, then you can, most sadly select from any number on the NSPCC website. Once you've decided which ones you want to examine, look at the lessons learned section as that will explain how the case means to influence a setting's current practice & legislation to hopefully prevent a same situation from ever happening again.

Hth xx
