Default Linking Child Observation To Theorists?

I have a task of doing child observations and linking it to a theorist. I am working in year four and the observation was on a child who has behavior difficulties. I am really stuck on which theorist to link to as he cant take failure well and lacks self confidence to try new things such as a harder task.

any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi, have you researched Lev Vygotsky, the theory of scaffolding and Zone of Proximal Development where activities support a child by not being too challenging - causing the child to fail or under-stimulating so learning doesn't take place.

or Jerome Bruner & the spiral curriculum?

Best wishes
