Default Dissertation on outdoor play

Hi everyone!

I'm currently writing my dissertation for my degree (scary!)

I've chosen to do it on the outdoor learning environment. Possibly looking at safety aspects and the importance of risk-taking in early years.

My title at the moment is "Do concerns for children’s safety and well-being influence the effectiveness of the outdoor learning environment?" but I'm not sure whether this is very clear.

Any suggestions or ideas on what I could cover or help with the title would be really appreciated!!

Thanks in advance
Sarah

Sounds like a great title. If it helps focus research maybe swap 'the' for 'an to help define the area initially.

Best wishes with it xx

Hi, I have a research project to do for my degree in early years. I am having trouble deciding what to do. I thought about outside play. But I'm not sure if to look at risk taking or the value of free flow play? opinions would be greatfully received. the project is only 5000 words so the actual observation or questionnaire would only need to cover a few children.

Hi,
Do you think that researching the value of free flow play with regards to supporting or building on children's interests would work as a research project??
I'm going to talk to my tutor when we go back but I think it could work.

I have researched and written a lot about outside risky play.

I found the work of Helen Bromley particularly inspiring if you can get to one of her talks.
