hi im new to this so i apologise if i have asked this question in the wrong place - no clue what im doing or where to go to ask a question..

Im doing unit 630 and need some guidance on
2.6 Explain how holistic plans support access to learning in language , literacy and communication for every child in the setting including those with specific requiremtns
4.3 identify training and development needs for self to improve performance in supporting development of language , literacy and communication.

Hi these two criteria relate directly to your setting & its connections.

What does the planning cycle look like in your setting? record keeping/development trackers/continuous provision/children's individual activity plans?

Language, literacy and communication links to holistic development through play, reading and writing, social development, cognitive development & memory, and behaviour. What activities happen to support each child and takes their learning needs into account?

for 4.3 what training or workshops are available to you? Does the Local Authority arrange any, do you have meetings with senior members of staff who help you learn about these areas?

Hi page 299 and 300 of the level 3 handbook goes into greater detail for each of these areas of children's holistic development.

If you think about how language is involved in each of the 'situations' you'll see how it links/is involved with children's overall development.
