SEN Coordinators ?

How easy do you find this role is taken up by suitable staff members ?

Do you have a wage scale that reflects the additional responsibilities or is the SENCO title included as part of your Leader/managers job contract ?

I used to go to the odd SENCO forum when my manager was the SENCO. When she left the new manager wouldnt be the SENCO so I was only qualified person to take on the role (you have to be Level 3 or above).

I don't get paid any extra for the responsibility

i understood you had to be level 3 or working towards level 3 but with extra special needs courses, qualifications.
it is usually the manager/ supervisor or deputy that holds the senco role
