Default planning activities

Please help.......... I've just recently started my level 2 ccld and its been a while since i last went to school.

Why is it important to plan appropriate activities for childrens learning and development? And how can a child care practitioner contribute to planning?

Planning makes sure we are providing activities that meet the needs and interests of the child. It makes sure we meet the EYFS goals to help the child reach the expected evelopment stages. Child care practioners contribute to this by making sure we observe and record the childrens interests and development. All our planning should be based on our observations of the children.

Hope this helps
