Hi welcome to the site, if it helps unit 024 is the same as CYP 3.2 if searching for other threads on the forum - search page

6.2 Demonstrate provision of structured opportunities for children or young people to explore the effects of transitions on their lives

Examples of transitions given in the unit pdf are:

• emotional, affected by personal experience e.g. bereavement, entering/ leaving care
• physical e.g. moving to a new educational establishment, a new home/locality, from one activity to another
• physiological e.g. puberty, long term medical conditions
• intellectual e.g. moving from pre school to primary to post primary
• smaller daily transitions

Being a 'demonstrate' assessment criteria this is an aspect you may find your tutor/assessor will chat with you about when they visit. Maybe look at planning, resources and activities that your setting provides to help children explore the effect of transitions ie. how they make you feel, emotions, how they make you behave, how others react during transitional times .. being supportive, understanding, reassuring, places to go for support, advice

Story books
Role play resources
Puppets
Painting
Visits, tours, welcome trips
Parent parnership and sharing information/events/concerns/accomplishments
A setting's daily routine - provides familiarity and reassurance that supports well-being, confidence, resillience
Circle time activities - who is excited & why, worried, sad, happy ..

There are a few suggested website links given in the Collins handbook on page 176 if you have access to a copy.

The who cares trust.org.uk now known as become https://www.becomecharity.org.uk/for...als/resources/

www.ncb.org.uk

www.winstonswish.org.uk

This thread may also help you see how what you do in the setting relates to transitions: http://www.silkysteps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13920

Best wishes
