Reporting and having concerns acted on is the priority so any eventuality that delays that, enabling poor practice to continue unchallenged is a risk. Do you have a policy or procedure for your setting that shows different ways you could communicate a concern? - whistleblowing, induction information maybe that outlines what's expected of you in discussing concerns with parents.
Possible issues are
Confidentiality breach where infomation is mislaid, passed on inappropriately.
Accuracy of information that helps detail events or where changes to the concern could be made.
Methods that involve delay - busy workload, postal letters, emails, making appointments, uncertainty of who to contact.
Training & confidence of the colleague receiving concerns.
Colleagues able to give support and protection through the sharing of concerns.
Possible worries with anonymity
Policy & procedure followed for any action to be handled lawfully
