Help SOS Methods of observation(K3D206)

Stuck on a couple of questions :-
1,Your supervisor has asked you to assess Panjit`s cognitive development.
2,Mahesh has recently joined pre-school and appears to have very limited concentration skills.
Which observation methods should be used in each case.

For Mahesh - as he has only just joined us I would do a tracking observation to see which activities he visits and for how long. That would show me his interests which could then be used to plan an activity in that area to help improve his concentration. Hope that helps

For the first one you could do a stuctured observation where you make an activity around a development area. For cognitive development it could be around a maths activity. Then obsereve how the child works things out etc
