What type of setting do you work in? Pre-school, nursery, school (if school - age of children?)

Using assessments to guide staff - do you have team meetings/talk to other staff about your child observations. Has there been a time when you have discussed how you should change practice when carrying out child observations. If you have write up a reflective acccount: what happened, why, changes you and staff team decided to make or maybe further training you decided to undertake.

Don't forget this is about adult practice. If you have not done this say what you would do.

Low self esteem/lack of confidence - If a child has low self esteem/confidence how could this affect learning?

Discrimination - if a child is discriminated against how could this affect learning? For example if a child was wheelchair bound and it was said this child would be unable to take part in ball games because of their chair - how would this affect that child's learing. It might also affect self-esteem and confidence

3-4 yr olds.....

Requirements of Ofsted - If you are working to eyfs which you should be with this age group. You have your evidence. Explain your observation and recording systems & how this links into curriculum planning.

Or better still arrange a professional discussion with your assessor and talk through your assessment/curriculum systems using actual working documents to refer to.

Remember to get written permission from parents to allow you to do this

Good luck
