Schools, like any other organisation, are obliged to operate under current laws and legislation. Although you may not need to know about these in depth, it is helpful to have some ideas about why schools will need to work in a particular way, or why they have to draw up particular policies or documents. The majority of laws and codes of practice which are required in schools are directly linked to the well-being and achievements of pupils, as can be seen from their content.
