Default Describing how laws and codes of practice ensure pupil well-being and achievement are promoted

Hi, laws and codes of practice layout what's expected of us and as professionals who interact with children across the nation there are laws and codes of practice that mean we are expected to promote pupil well-being and their achievement.

Schools, like any other organisation, are obliged to operate under current laws and legislation. Although you may not need to know about these in depth, it is helpful to have some ideas about why schools will need to work in a particular way, or why they have to draw up particular policies or documents. The majority of laws and codes of practice which are required in schools are directly linked to the well-being and achievements of pupils, as can be seen from their content.

The Special Educational Needs code of practice 2014
The Children and Families Act 2014
