Hey Myafai,

I know that if a child has low self esteem they tend to find it hard to feel like they can achieve in the learning place, as children who have high self esteem can find it alot easier to join in and work together better in the learning place.
Sometimes children with low self esteem will compaire themselfs to others and if others are doing better they tend to think they will never get to that stage, even though they can.
The higher the self esteem the more indepentate the child normally is, children with low self esteem can find it hard to join in and sometimes find it harder to make friends and answer questions in class. Children with low self esteem normally have the one to one help from teachers unlike high self esteem children who tend to find it easier to have less help.

I don't know if this little bit of information can help you, but it's just a thought for you.

Kitty Katty has it summed up pretty well there.

Think of a time in your life, at school perhaps, with a subject you felt that you were rubbish at, but other people seemed to manage fairly easily. Think how you felt going to each lesson, how you dreaded getting homework back. Your self-esteem was pretty shot at - how was your learning?
So then think of something you really enjoyed - not enough lessons in this subject for you - they were good, the work came easily and you enjoyed the challenge - perhaps you pretended not to, 'cos your friend didn't like it, your self-esteem was way up! How was your learning?
