Default unit 3 help pls?

Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone could help me?Im doing my unit 3 and am stuck on a couple of things...

*describe how effective communication supports all areas of thechilds development.
this incudes:
*practitioners and children(this part ive done)
*practitioners and parents
*practitioners in the setting

and

explain why it is important for the practitioner tosupport the emotional development of children?

Im not expecting any one to do my homework for me juat after a few pointers...thanks!!

Oh and in response to your query about supporting childrens emotional development-

Think about how you can enhance childrens self-esteem.
Do you listen to children?
Do you praise all forms of communication?
Do you respect the child?
Do you ensure that there are opportunities available to help the child understand the world around her/him?
Perhaps most importantly...do you give children your time?...This is perhaps the most precious gift a child can have...
