Default Help

Hello everyone..

I had my assessor in today and she has given me a few things to do.

I have to write a reflective account on how i helped a new child settle into the setting

Write a reflective account of how ICT can help children play and learn

How do i write a reflective account???
Is it just like a diary account?

Thanks for any help
love

A relective account is one where you have looked back and constructively assessed what happened during an activity or situation and write about what went well, what did not go quite so well, what did you learn from this, what did the children gain from the experience, what would you do differently next time, how could you improve your practice?

eg (for the first example) trying to find out as much as you can about a child before they start to try and help them settle in better, and (for the second example) think of a time you saw children using the computer and think about how this benefitted their play and learning eg learning social skills, learning new language, learning problem solving skills and physical skills (fine motor, hand/eye co-ordination).

Hope this helps
