Default ideas for Chinese new year

hi i am new here , i work in an after school club and also a pre-school i am trying to find some new activities to do for chinese new year for children age 4-11:reading: i have looked on all the websites i normally look on but i cant seem to find anything new.
i hope someone could help me with ideas my head just seems to be empty

Hiya, there are so many suggestions available, with chinese new year's start date falling on valentines day this year, which is a Sunday you could look at what the colour red means within the two celebrations ..

Red hearts & red for good fortune - envelopes .. how about asking the older children to soak some 2p's in vinegar to see them become cleaner? dry, shine & put into some red paper envelopes. Add gold pen embellishments and hand out.
