Default pre school parent committee

hello
i wonder if any pre schools have got rid of their vol parent committee
we are having so many problems with ours and every year it gets worse

we are run by them and the chair is the head of the school
the staff feel pre school would run better if instead of having to wait every 2 months for a pc meeting we could just go straight to her and get an answer

any advice please

complicated process.. not done it but been put off by the fact that you have to close completely, dispose of any equipment and monies as per constitution, and then re start as a new setting from scratch. If anyone has an easy solution let us all know.

we havent done this, but

i am run by comitttee of parents and i manage the setting for them, so have overall control, any major decisions i take to the chair at our weekly meeting and we either decide on outcome or have to wait for full comittee meeting each half term.
i find that small things are easy to decide, but major things comittee is needed for. maybe suggest a more frequent meeting with chair to sort out niggles?

I am also in same situation as cybertwin and find it works really well regular meetings for larger scale items but they leave me to the rest
