I struggled a bit with this one too but eventually came up with the time that our children spend on the carpet before activities and battle commence! (I work with Y2's) This the time they do their shares, have stories, various discussions etc but also it is used for planning how the children will work together - pairs, small groups if it is that sort of an activity and how they will behave, what is expected of them, respect for each other's opinions and feelings and essentially lay the ground rules for good working behaviour that involves having to work together and learning to react positively to each other.
