Help SOS K3D214 - Unit 303

Hi,
I need to have unit 303 completed by the end of the month and I'm finding it a major struggle. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated!
I'm trying to do K3D214 That children develop at widely different rates, but in broadly the same sequence.
I think I can write about head-toe and inner-outer...but struggling on what to put for moving from simple to complex actions and from general responses to those that are more specific.
I have a tendency to go a little overboard with my answers, so any advice too on how to keep this short and straight to the point so I can move along to the rest of the knowledge points would be great!
Thank you
Sarah Lou

I know what you mean about sometimes writing too much! As well as the inner-outer & head-toe I also wrote this:
Growth and development is a continuous process. As children develop they add the skills already acquired and new skills to become the basis for further achievement. One stage of development lays the foundation for the next stage. For example, for children to write or draw, they must first have developed the control to hold a pencil first.
Growth and development move from the general to the specific. In motor development, babies will first be able to grasp an object with their whole hand before they are able to use only their thumb and forefinger. Growth and development occurs from large muscle movements to more refined ones.

Hope this helps

Hi

Have looked this up in the UARS and it gives a guideline as to what to cover. It says:

General Sequence is:

Moving from simple to complex actions

From Head to toe (developmental progresses downwards)

From inner to outer (actions near the body to more complex ones further from the body) eg. co-ordinating their arms; using gross motor skills before developing fine motor skills to use theri fingers.

From general responses to those that are more specific eg. a baby showing pleasure when using its whole body, to an older child using appropriate words and gestures.

Hope this helps you
