Rabbits, bird chicks and their eggs are all symbols associated with fertility, babies & the spring's bursts of new life from seeds to teeny tiny plant tips, eggs to hatchlings and light and dark where on the day of the equinox the Earth's night time and day time are equal in length.   Chocolate has become a familiar part of the season's celebations being versatile, tasty and variations that meet dietary needs are now more easily found. The printables on this page compliment these attributes and in turn celebrate chocolate itself and what it's come to mean for the spring!   Resources needed: For the chocolate gifts ..  A chocolate bar per participant  A carrot label per chocolate bar  Green tissue paper  Double sided sticky tape and stickers  Pen, scissors and basket to store If holding a raffle to support an event's costs maybe purchase a cuddle rabbit as top gift and involve local rescue and rehousing centres to help promote thier pet care, ownership and support/donation information. www.rabbitrehome.org.uk  Carrot labels blank or coloured with name plaque  & Search carrot  templates For the search carrots ..  A carrot printout per participant Laminating pouches and access to a laminator Scissors, hole punch Green ribbon or string Making your game ..  Wrap each chocolate bar in green tissue paper and secure along the back.  Fold up one end and secure with tape or a sticker.  Snip the other open end to ressemble carrot leaves  Print and cut out a carrot label and attach to the front of the chocolate bar with double                sided sticky tape.  Add a name to the label where wanted. -------------   Make the game carrots by printing the templates to white card and colouring the carrot          bodies orange & leaf area green.    Cut out and laminate.  Hole punch at the carrot top and thread through a short length of string.  Knot to secure and hang to be found ..
