Hi, the documented outcomes are the early learning goals attached to the 6 areas of learning in the 2008 EYFS or 7 areas in the 2012 EYFS - page of links
Documented outcomes are also the 5 positive outcomes of ECM every child matters • Be Healthy • Stay Safe • Enjoy and Achieve • Make a Positive Contribution • Achieve Economic Well-being http://www.newcastlechildrenservices.../mcs_5outcomes http://eduwight.iow.gov.uk/teacher/t...veOutcomes.pdf http://archive.excellencegateway.org....aspx?o=167914 https://www.education.gov.uk/publica...l/Page1/CM5860 level 3 handbook and help for EYMP2 Best wishes |
hi all
am stuck with EYMP 2 1.3 explain how the documented outcomes are assessed and recorded...#?????? please help |
Hi, welcome to silkysteps, this depends which home nation you work in. If in England it's how your setting uses the information found in the EYFS framework - the ELG's, possibly the 2 yr progress check and at the end of a child's EYFS the profile outcomes. The development matters guidance might be used and maybe the five positive outcomes as documented in Every child matters.
A level 3 handbook will support research in greater depth, if you can ask a colleague/senior management in your setting or placement they'll be able to help explain the ways things are done xx Best wishes |
Hi, I don't get how they are both the documented outcomes are you meant to include both? Really stuck on this question and meant to be finished Friday! Thanks

For this question I have been told to write about Every child Matters, Development Matters and the new progress check for 2 year olds. Hope that helps :)

Hi holliedays, documented means information that's been writen down and can be used by others as a guide or to inform what they do.
Outcomes for children are what individuals, groups and the wider society collectively want to see its young people being able to have. The EYFS & development matters both contain written/documented outcomes/statements about development that it hopes children will achieve. ECM also lists 5 positive outcomes that it wants everyone to have & know about. xx |
