Build a huddle of penguin paint stampers using the pattern templates below and freeze chunks of ready mix poster paint for an icy mark-making adventure.. Printables Colour penguin paint stamper templates Penguin outline template pattern Penguin name sheet To make the penguin stampers   Print the template pieces to card and cut out. Fold the penguin body in half where the two heads meet and fold the bottom body tabs outwards. Glue the inside of the body sections togetherk, cover with sticky back plastic and trim.  Print the feet, cut out and cover in plastic. Glue the penguin's body tabs to the area maked then stick the underside of the feet to a piece of foam and use this surface for paint dipping.  printer & 300gm card  scissors & glue  sticky palstic covering    blue foam To make the frozen paint cubes Add any combination of coloured poster paint to an icecube tray and sprinkle with glitter when finished. Position clothes pegs in such a way that they hold lolly sticks or twigs upright whilst in the freezer. Leave overnight and then release when needed. For messy play The two activities promoted on this page; paper based and gloopy messy play both offer the opportunity for children to enjoy solid paint on a stick and roleplaying with penguin characters. As the frozen paint cubes melt the marks they make become stronger,  complimenting and addting to the impressions made by the penguin's stamping feet.   Use plain sheets of paper/card or the name sheet to draw, slip slide and mark-make so that any art designs can be dried and displayed.
