Hi, you'll have links to a few and when you evaluate the activity later you may find it linked to most areas :)

Understanding the world - noticing difference and similarities.

PSED - you'll be encouraging children to contribute ideas & suggestions
Communication & language - you'll all be speaking and listening alongside others
Mathmatical language - big & small, up & down, over & under
Art & design - black and white colours
Physical development - controlling bodies with small movements if sitting through a group activity

Raising awareness of left and right can be ongoing, if you look at the VAK model of learning you'll see how a group activity that relies on speaking alone will support auditory learning, flashcards support visual and an activity like drawing around hands will support kinaesthetic, writing the words left & right onto the drawn image whilst speaking the word aloud/in sign takes all learning styles into account and helps to ensure youngest children are supported - writing falls within the eyfs' literacy area of development

Book to help with handedness - on amazon.co.uk

To support children's individual development the guidance that accompanies your home nations EY's framework will be more specific.

Hth xx
