We have run after school clubs weekly in two secondary schools and various primary schools for the last 6 to 8 years. Extended schools funding is now delegated to schools and not ring fenced. Schools are saying they still don't know how much money they will have, so can't tell us if they can fund the activity. Current funding ends at end of March 2011. We have terminated the contract of our administrator, and will have to stop contracts with freelance tutors as it is now getting very late to find out. We also have "Making a difference" funding for weekend activities for children with disabilities which sounds as if it is going to stop. We have no other funding to cushion the blow. Local Council grants went down to almost nothing a few years ago. We also have 3 different current projects with mostly Lottery funds, One from Sing Up £50K, and two from Youth Music £16K and £17K.. All end at end of March 2011. SingUp & Youth Music Mentoring programme were both previous Government projects coming to an end. Youth Music is now very over subscribed. I have NOT included these in the figures below as they are not Statutory funding BUT everything ending at once is having a huge negative impact on the organisation and the people who benefit from its work.
